The Foundation’s flagship projects are large-scale research projects focusing on a specific theme. They are selected through a commissioned procedure.
In this context, the Foundation team and its governing bodies play a more active role in developing the project than in a call for proposals, which is by definition more competitive.
Support is often in excess of €500k, and partners are involved in financing these projects.
