The BioWooEB unit conducts research on the use of Mediterranean and tropical lignocellulosic biomass in the form of materials, energy or bioproducts. It draws on its expertise in understanding and characterising biomass while taking into account the influence of the variability of these resources as well as the environmental impacts when optimising processes on a local scale in developing countries.
