Research by the AGAP unit is structured around three thematic fields:
Analysis and enhancement of the genetic diversity of agro-ecosystems and human management practices;
Studies of the genetic and functional basis of traits involved in tolerance to abiotic constraints, resistance to disease and product quality, integrating genotyping and high-throughput phenotyping;
Mobilisation of this knowledge in plant improvement programmes conducted in partnership and integrating user participation.
